Christie Taylor DVM

Originally from Batesville, MS, Dr. Christie Michelle Taylor has called the greater Memphis area home for the past 13 years. Her journey into veterinary medicine began unexpectedly during college, sparked by her childhood passion for animals and nurtured by her beloved golden retriever, Chellbin. After 13 years in practice, including a decade in corporate medicine, she sought a practice that aligned with her values of excellence and support for women in the profession. This quest led her to Southern Crossing Animal Hospital in July of 2023, where she was drawn to the exceptional care standards and the supportive environment created by both Dr. Nollner and Dr. White.

As a general practice veterinarian, Dr. Taylor embraces the diverse challenges of her role, from internal medicine to surgery, dentistry, and beyond. Each day brings new opportunities for learning and growth, a testament to her dedication to providing comprehensive care to her patients.

Outside of work, Christie finds joy in her bustling family life. Married to her childhood best friend, Josh, for 15 years, they are proud parents to four energetic boys: Sawyer, Wilder, Foster, and the youngest addition, Miller. Family time is precious, whether it’s cheering on her boys at their sporting events or exploring new recipes in the kitchen. Beyond her professional and family life, Christie has a passion for music, having played the clarinet in high school, and a love for RomComs and Dramedies. She also enjoys culinary adventures, with a weakness for smoked salmon and bread pudding. Looking to the future, Christie has ambitious goals on her bucket list. She aspires to read through the Bible chronologically, run a half marathon, explore all national parks with her boys, and fulfill her dream of touring Europe.

Dr.Taylor brings not only expertise and dedication to her veterinary practice but also a warmth and passion that resonate through her personal and professional endeavors. She looks forward to taking care of clients and their pets at Southern Crossing Animal Hospital, where her commitment to compassionate care shines brightly.
