What's Required
For the safety of all of our boarders, we require all pets to be current on ALL of their core vaccines (listed below) at least 72 hours prior to their stay. We also require that all pets are free of fleas and other intestinal and external parasites. If any parasites are noted during your pet’s boarding, you agree to pay for the cost of treating your pet for parasites.

Dayboard Trial Policy
We require all pets to come in for a dayboard trial at the cost of $25.50 before their stay at Southern Crossing. Pets are admitted before 9 a.m. and would stay with us for half the day. This allows our staff to observe your pet’s behavior in our facility and determine whether or not your pet is too fearful or aggressive with our staff. This also provides an opportunity for pet parents to make alternate arrangements in the event that their pet does not successfully complete this trial.
If your pet successfully completes their dayboard trial, your payment of $25.50 will be added as a credit to go towards your pet’s first stay with us.
Southern Crossing invests in our staff becoming Fear Free Certified, meaning our staff members go through training in order to provide our patients and clients a more comfortable and safe experience. This includes training on how to handle patients with high fear, anxiety and stress, and improving communication with clients to assist them with their visits. We also provide separate exam rooms for cats to reduce stress in their visits!
